    Works great and has better features than our previous GE

    In this day and age an answering machine is probably not the preferred method for obtaining messages but my husband and I prefer it. Our previous GE answering machine lived a long life but it started to have a number of issues. The ad said that it was new in the box. It was. Since it replaced the one we had, it was easy to connect it. Although almost identical, this one shows the number of messages we have. We like this feature. The messages are very clear. The other difference is this one doesn't require a 9V battery like our previous one. This is also a benefit. We are very happy with the purchase.

    Not worth trying it

    Bought this to replace a 25 yr old mini-tape answering machine that quit. Tried this for a week and tossed it. Incoming calls are VERY garbled. Recording quality is near zero. Even with the volume up we could barely make out the messages that were left on it and we have perfect hearing. Don't waste your money.

    Convient with easy to use features.

    This GE answer machine does exactly what it should do it has a convenient shape so it fits on my small stand, also I can put my own recording on it or use the default recording that came with. I will keep buying this model as long as I can get it.

    Great Answer machine, and you can personalize it to your needs.

    We had a GE answer machine just about the same as this. It was still working, but the batter backup went on the fritz. We had the unit for about 15 or more years, and though it still answered and did everything it was supposed to. I figured it was time to get a new one. I entered the GE name on E-Pay and this one came up. It is better than the old one as it is completely digital, and if the power goes out, the message will not reset. dI am very happy with this unit, and it was easy to install. Works great and we are very happy.

    GE29875GE-1 answering machine, five out of five

    The GE 29875GE-1 is a reliable, proven, easy to use answering machine. GE has stopped manufacturing them, so grab them while you can. Stay away from the current AT&T answering machine. There is no comparison to the GE answering machine.
