Good chassis for beginner
A cheap 4wd chassis, ideal for someone beginning to experiment with robotics. The clear acrylic chassis is both attractive and practical, the two decks providing plenty of area thus facilating the installation of most components likely to be required. The low voltage motors, whilst cheap, are adequate for the job. Sadly, in my case, the wheels were not well made, like the shaft holes not being drilled at right angles, one being so bad that it could not be used. I simple ordered 4 replacent wheels from China, where incidentally, one can purchase this same chassis. The kit includes 2 well-cut clear acrylic decks (each covered by protective paper on receipt), 4 motors, 4 wheels/tyres, 4 encoder disks, and all necessary hardware to build the chassis. I used the new SB Motorshield to interface between raspberry pi and chassis motors, plus US and IR sensors, a board which is OK once all the errors and problems have been sorted - see Amazon review.
