Promoted as the final release in the series, Onimusha 3: Demon Siege looks to surpass its predecessors in areas such as gameplay, art, and technology. Reprising his voice-acting role as the lovelorn samurai Samanosuke Akechi is Takeshi Kianeshiro. Joining him is renowned French actor Jean Reno, best known for his roles in The Professional, Big Blue, and La Femme Nikita. The game opens at the Honnoji Temple. Samanosuke continues to battle the demons in his path until the moment finally comes when standing before him, ready for battle, is the undead Warlord Nobunaga Oda. However, before this epic clash can begin, Samanosuke suddenly disappears. The year is now 2004. An otherwise peaceful French metropolis finds itself under attack by demons. Unleashing an unimaginable horror, the Genma demons go on to slaughter civilians and soldiers, one by one. From out of this fury appears a French soldier who stands up against the Genma demons, Jacques Braun (Jean Reno). Deployed to this scene of carnage, Jacques quickly finds himself surrounded by hellish enemies. Then, in the distance, an ancient samurai warrior inexplicably appears, to help fight off the demons and save the city. The two begin slaying demons together, until Jacques is suddenly caught in a mysterious vortex, eerily familiar to Samanosuke, and is transported to feudal Japan, leaving behind Samanosuke in modern-day France. The question now stands, why has Samanosuke appeared in present day France, and Jacques in Feudal Japan? As players attempt to make sense of this strange scenario in the beginning of the game, many advancements and new technologies may also come to their attention. For the first time, fully 3D backgrounds are featured, and dynamic camera angles add a sense of depth during battle scenes. New environments have been added, including Paris landmarks such as Notre Dame and the Arc De Triumph, though also included are familiar backdrops such as Anshi Castle and Honnoji Temple. Powerful swords, capable of destroying enemies with one blow, are available, along with new weapons that add additional challenges. A whip weapon, unique to the Jacques Braun character, is handy for combat situations as well as exploration. With its ability to latch on to objects, players can use the whip to swing across various platforms and access new areas.

Pros and Cons for playing Onimusha 3 on pc
Onimusha 3 for PC is a port of a PS2 game with an intriguing story line. The game plays quite well even on average spec pcs. The loading of new levels takes a few seconds, cut scenes roll instantly, and with a few tweaks(if you have a powerful pc), the graphics quality is on par with Playstation 2; however, the pc version of Onimusha is missing some of the environmental effects such as fog that makes the game feel more realistic. Additionally, all the menu buttons work except "customize controls" when using a controller. I used an Xbox360 controller and could not find a way to customize the controls. However, the emersive gameplay experience made me want to play the game anyway. It takes some quick left hand movements to take advantage of all the different fight moves of the characters. ... The right hand is relaxed with easy controls; it's only the left hand that has difficult controls. All in all, the game is still awsome. For me, the only dissappointment is the controls and also the lack of fog etc.... If there was fog, I think it would be more thrilling because I don't see the enemy until I see this shiny sword cut through the mist or perhaps sillhouettes or perhaps red eyes. Do not try to play the game with keyboard.... Not only are there combination keys, but it's also a bit too tough when the enemies are fast. Enjoy the game :-)

Great Games To Have
i bought this onimusha game 2 weeks ago and was very glad that i bought a very good game. although initially there were some problems about getting the game to load in full screen but the support of ubisoft had helped me solve this problem and now i am enjoying this game. this game is very good in the sense that the features of the characters is near to perfection as the real person. but it would be best if ubisoft can make it more lifelike because some the graphics inside this game still rather squarish i would say. but never the less its a great game to have definitely.i bought this onimusha game 2 weeks ago and was very glad that i bought a very good game. although initially there were some problems about getting the game to load in full screen but the support of ubisoft had helped me solve this problem and now i am enjoying this game. this game is very good in the sense that the features of the characters is near to perfection as the real person. but it would be best if ubisoft can make it more lifelike because some the graphics inside this game still rather squarish i would say. but never the less its a great game to have definitely.

I have played everyone of Onimusha series games when I had the PS2 system and now that I only play PC related games I came across this game and it happened to be the one I played and finished the most.And now I can pick up where I stopped and start again,I recommend it to anyone who loves hack and slash sword games. I liked the game....And it's fun to play with in my computer....The format is good especially the graphics....I like fighting games and this is one of my favorites...

Great game. Found it easier to play with game pad. Would recommend back tracking at every level so you can level up stats. Otherwise the game is difficult and you are more likely to die.
