De monografie is een levendige illustratie van de effectiviteit van de percolatiebenadering van de modellering van verschillende processen van ondergrondse hydromechanica. Er worden voorbeelden gegeven van de behandeling van complexe problemen in verband met de beschrijving van vloeistofstromen in poreuze media. De verkregen resultaten zijn zeer interessant, niet alleen vanuit wetenschappelijk oogpunt, maar ook als wetenschappelijke basis voor een aantal verbeterde olieterugwinningstechnologieen. Een percolatiemodel van de elektrolytestroom in een poreus medium wordt geconstrueerd rekening houdend met het effect van een dubbele elektrische laag op de stroming in microcapillairen. Op basis van dit model worden de nodige aanpassingen gedaan aan de hydrodynamische ontwikkelingsmodellen. Het percolatiemodel van de hysteresis van de relatieve permeabiliteit voor elk type collector wordt gepresenteerd. De verkregen analytische integrale uitdrukkingen maken het mogelijk om de trends van hun afhankelijkheid van verschillende stromingsparameters te traceren. De analyse van osmotische en ionenuitwisselingsprocessen in de vloeistofstroom in een kleihoudend poreus medium wordt uitgevoerd.
