An excellent piece of kit
I have been using DeWalt products for about 15 years. I was absolutely confident that this product was suitable for my purposes. I was not disappointed. The product lived up to and exceeded my expectatations. I have used this chainsaw to take down a tree of approximately 10 inches diameter which it did quickly and easily. I have since used it for taking down several other small to medium sized trees and for cutting up logs and firewood. The product is straightforward, safe and intuitive to use. My only criticism was that the motor would occassionally cut out immediately after pressing the trigger switch. I dealt with this by either leaving the machine to cool down after prolonged use or by tripping the brake handle on and off to reset it. I have been using DeWalt products for about 15 years. Excellent compact design
I bought this for cutting 4x4 fence posts. It is fantastic at doing this and is a great addition to my Dewalt set up. Compact, powerful, light and well balanced tool. If you need a chainsaw for quick cutting of 4x4 posts or 4x2 timbers - this is the saw for you. I have not tried it on trees and branches but it would be great for that too as long as the trees were not too large. Great piece of kit !!!I bought this for cutting 4x4 fence posts.
