Still sealed first pressing at a great price.
This album often gets knocked, and compared to some of his other works I can understand some of the critiques. As a lifelong McCartney fan it grew on me the more I listened to it. I think it has a nice band presentation with more of a in the moment feel as opposed to a studio construction.

what is, excellent?
How does someone like me can rate something like "driving rain" as excellent, I am not a musician, not a critic and this is the first album from Mc Cartney that I have listened to? Firstly as the Buddhists would say: it is empty. So that put asside any reality, it is only a conception that only myself can evaluate. So therfore I can only evaluate this album because I have not been able to be too far away from, since the first day that I heard on the radio "Rinse the raindrops". I had to have it, already it became my "precious". After realizing it was from Paul who's now over sixty, I excuse myself and intended to buy the album for this song only. Since then it seems that each songs one by one find their way into some different days, wether it is sunshine or rain, wether I am at work or ... How does someone like me can rate something like "driving rain" as excellent, I am not a musician, not a critic and this is the first album from Mc Cartney that I have listened to? This is why the album is excellent to me. Since buying it I have read so much reviews and I have no intention on going into each songs, other people can do this much etter than I. However I feel that there is a lot of negative feedback about Freedom and I must agree that at first i was disapointed by it, then I looked at it from a different angle. This is not a radio song neither a studio song (so i believe!) this is a song to be sung by a crowed of people during demonstration against any lost of freedom, this is a simple cry that does not need to be well written or well orchestrated, it is a respond to simple survival instincts, when i look at it this way, then it works. Then of course who am I to be able to judge..... Just try it and let the "magic" work it's way and listen to the songs he sings, see the sun light and you'll be there. (taken from rinse the raindrops) my personal precious, must have listen to this song over 200 times in the last three weeks.. enjoy
