    Works perfectly.

Bought this for a T520 Lenovo laptop & I would say it works equally as well as a built in dual antenna Broadcom AC adapter in my home. Its Broadcom based netgear usb adapter. The placement might be weird on some laptops as it definitely would take getting used to it sticking up on the side of the keyboard - luckily my laptop has a usb slot behind the screen where its totally out of the way. The antenna folds out so it looks kind of like a big T, for best signal strength. Everytime I look, it says I have a 866.5 mbps connection to my asus Broadcom based ac wifi access point. Normally I only use the AC band but it seems to work fine on typical wifi N too. My old laptop on Broadcom N built in wifi would see a max of 8 access points.. this netgear sees 12 so it 'sees better. The only negatives I see is it doesn't have built in blue tooth & even though the link speed is 866.5 its only usb2 which limits the lan speed to around 25MB/s or 200mbps. It has only loss connection once in the couple weeks I've been using it and that was while playing around with a cell phone program, sort of a weird root program on a usb tethered phone - This adapter is in use almost constantly here, connected 24/7 except when the laptop finds time to sleeps or hibernates... it instantly connects when waking from sleep or hibernate, or with restarts. I would say its a heck of a deal at the 10 dollar price range. Wish it was usb3 for network attached hard drive to be faster.

Slow thoughput with SpeedTest, only USB 2.0

Strong signal and great connection rate but slow throughput, My laptop has USB 3.0 but it seem the adaptor is only 2.0 and seems to be the bottle neck. When I disable the Wi-Fi adapter and enable the internal Intel one with a weaker signal I get better speed test’s with the old one by 60 mbps. So for me it was just a waste of time and money but lucky not a lot.

  • Good wireless adapter, lacks Linux support

Works correctly in Windows, sadly it didn't work on Linux, I'm still trying to make it work with some drivers found on Github, but no avail so far, my mistake for getting an item without proper previous investigation, but I give it 4 star as I can't recommend a global company as Netgear that doesn't give the proper support for their items.

  • Disapointed

I was hoping that this new WiFi technology (tunneling) would give me better signal strength than the older technology or maybe close to what I have with 2.4ghz but not the case. One of my PC's is about 40' away and get only 1 bar on the signal strength icon. It works but just barely and my tablets which are 30' away get two bars. I haven't tried other 5ghz adapter but my old 2.4ghz gave me 5 bars in my whole house.

  • Fast.

Computer had an older netgear adapter wna3100. After getting a netgear dual band router internet connection kept dropping. The router speed is super fast and it seems even when connected puter was mediocre. After upgrading super fast now. I ran speed tests and instead of good speeds i now have fast to excellent,

  • Good Adapter

I am in love, excellent wireless adapter, knock on wood so far so good, we have not had any problems, hook up was a walk in the park, no problem what so ever the disk walks you right through it and we were hooked up and running without a hitch. Well worth every penny.

  • Netgear A6200-100NAS

Works excellent! I connected this to my Toshiba Qosmio laptop and added a Netgear R6000 router. My connect speeds are at least 6X faster than my old Asus dual band connector. Running videos from my WD Mybook ethernet NAS are no longer choppy and I never lose connection while viewing my movies.

  • Netgear A6200 works well

I had it connected through an extension USB cable, would not allow me to enable the device in windows 10 so make sure you only use the cable that comes with the cradle and no additional extension cables. Also download the latest drivers. I went with the A6200 Software Version 1.0.0.26-1 (Supports Win8.1 / Win10) driver not the beta one.

  • Not a good one at least for the refurbished

I bought one refurbished to use w/ my Netgear router in AC mode. The 1st one frequently loses the internet connection when PC into sleep mode. So, I have to send it back for a replacement. The replacement is better at beginning, which still drops out of internet occasionally. I have to switch between 2.4G and 5G mode to get re-connected. I would not recommend to buy the refurbished for sure! Update on 2/11/16, more frequently dropped from internet. Finally given up and no longer used it! I switched back to the old D_Link adapter.
