      Good product for reasonable price, can be difficult to find locally. Adds to the taste of gumbo. This particular brand has been around for a very long time, definitely recommend. Be aware it has no 'sprinkle" top.

      Zatarain's gumbo file

      Made my first pot of gumbo on Christmas Day. My family raved on how authentic it tasted. I must say that I was impressed. My brother, who is an old hand at gumbo guessed right away that I used Zatarain's. File powder makes it taste like gumbo and Zatarain's makes it taste like terrific gumboa
