About this product

Product Information

Chris-Craft is without doubt the most prestigious name in the history of American boatbuilders. This beautifully illustrated history of the Michigan-based company and its most significant powerboats begins in 1922, when the mercurial Christopher Columbus Smith and his three sons formed Chris Smith & Sons Boat Company. Modern color photography depicting restored and factory-original runabouts and cruisers details the evolution of Chris-Craft boats from the early hand-built years through the move to fiberglass hulls.

The product listed was just a stock photo. Asked the seller to send pictures showcasing the actual condition of the book before purchasing. Seller sent the pictures as I was unsure about it. It got packaged in several layers for protection from potential damage in shipping.

  • Chris Craft Boats

I purchased this book as a gift for a friend who just purchased an older wooden Chris Craft boat. Although I know very little about boats myself, I found myself looking through this books colorful pictures of many Chris Craft boats through the years. I think that anyone who loves Chris Craft boats would definitely enjoy this book.

  • great historical reference

Great reference book for older wood Chris Craft with pictorial references and historical information on the founders. The book doesn't cross over to fiberglass to much but understandable considering the age of the company you would need a book twice the size

  • Chris Craft Wooden Boat Fan

Information and photographs on the beautiful old Chris Craft boats is hard to find, and this booklet is a treasure. I purchased this for a relative who is a fan of these boats and she was thrilled it. Thanks for offering this reprint of a relatively rare collection of vintage information and photographs.
