....then again maybe not as most shows generally lose momentum and start to spiral downward after a few years of spotlight.Maybe all is well that ends well leaving this show to bask forever thought provoking in it's momentary glory.Harper's Island was a fast paced,gripping,emotional 13 episode modern day murder mystery series.It boasted a cast of BEAUTIFUL and interesting,widely diverse people.The backdrop is a breathtaking island and the storyline together with the way it was written made for a truly unique,paralyzing and thought provoking series that frankly,I was sad to see end.The writers and caster did an excellent job of making you feel for the characters and although the story quickly unfolds and comes to an end over a very short 13 weeks (mere days for the characters)you leave feeling like you had been watching the show for years.I highly recommend this series now ONLY available in a boxed DVD set.Reminiscent of Point Pleasant....another canceled great,only not a supernatural thriller.Read full review
The cast of this mini-series is to die for and the plot is awesome. Very riveting and each episode leaves you wanting more and using your imagination to figure out who the Harper's Island killer is. Also, if you're a fan of Supernatural, there's a lot of Supernatural stars in Harper's Island that do an equally great job with their acting! It gives the same creepy desired feel and is an excellent side-dish to any of your favorite thriller shows/movies/etc. Definitely worth buying!
This is a genuine, edge of your seat thriller! It was created to only be one season. In a style known as a "locked room mystery", first used by Agatha Christie for "And Then There Were None". Every time you think you know "whodunit", they flip the script and leave you just as baffled as before. I'm not usually a "scary" genre fan, but this was simply fascinating! Highly recommend for an engrossing time!!!
While the entire series was included, no accidental double discs, the discs had scratches that caused it to skip and repeat in a loop until you push fast forward causing you to miss parts.
