Didn't have any protection for any of the paddles, it was clearly used. Had black stains on the cork where somebody had forced a mouthpiece on numerous times I assume. Luckily everything works well period but it's frustrating that if I had wanted to take the risk of buying a refurbished horn I would have saved some money. However, I chose to buy a brand new horn. And was sent a used horn.

However, it was shipped in a small envelope with no packaging, and I accidently cut part of the dress as I was cutting open the package.
