Additional Information
Fleeing troubles at home, a sensitive American rebel finds himself caught up in the exciting world of underground drift racing in Tokyo. The third in the wildly popular FAST IN THE FURIOUS series--a hybrid of fast cars, hot teens, and fetishized technology--gets a new jolt of energy and style courtesy of young hotshot director Justin Lin, who won raves at Sundance in 2002 for his look at Asian-American teens in BETTER LUCK TOMORROW. Leading man in training Lucas Black stars as sensitive rebel Sean Boswell, who, despite hailing from the poor section of town, vamps up his used car to drag race against the best of them. After numerous racing challenges won--including one against his high school's popular, wealthy quarterback--Boswell gets in trouble with the law one too many times. To escape confinement to a juvenile detention center, Boswell's military father ships him all the way across the world, to that most futuristic, tech-savvy of cities, Tokyo. There, he meets his match in the powerful, cruel D.K. (Brian Tee), who is not only the car racing star of the Japanese underground, but also related to several dangerous Yakuzas (gangsters). Complicating matters is Sean's undeniable (and mutual) attraction to D.K.'s gorgeous girlfriend Neela (Nathalie Kelly). The racing style, he soon learns, is very different in this strange land--a practice known as "drifting" that is more elegant and virtuostic than American-style demolition. Yet if anyone can take on D.K. and his band of Yakuza yeomen, it's this racecar rebel. All the pieces of the action movie puzzle, including sexy stars, nonstop action, and heart-stopping thrills, combine with a stylish aesthetic and energetic soundtrack to make another fine addition to a fantastic franchise. And director Lin is adept at rendering Tokyo a full-dimensional, culturally rich location, rather than a video game backdrop.

Speed needs no translation. From the makers of The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious comes the highest-octane instalment of the hit movie franchise built for speed! Shaun Boswell has always been an outsider. A loner at school his only connection to the indifferent world around him is through illegal street racing - which has made him particularly unpopular with the local authorities. To avoid jail time Shaun is sent out of the country to live with his uncle in the military in a cramped apartment in a low-rent section of Tokyo. In the land that gave birth to the majority of modified racers on the road the simple street race has been replaced by the ultimate pedal-to-the-metal gravity-defying automotive challenge ... drift racing a deadly combination of brutal speed on heart stopping ...

  • Turning Japanese - I Really Think So!

A rebellious American teen, with a penchant for racing fast cars and getting into trouble with the law, is sent to live with his father in Japan. There he gets drawn into the undergound 'drift-racing' scene and immediately makes an enemy of the local bad boy, after taking a fancy to his girlfriend. He allies himself with the gangster's partner/rival in order to beat him on the road and for the girl - with action-packed results. The latest instalment in the series suffers somewhat from the lack of a star name, although look out for a cameo from Vin Diesel in the last few minutes. Certainly nowhere near as good as the first movie, it's a nice little no-brain affair, but maybe not one you would revisit too many times.

  • The third One

When convicted street racer Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) tries to start a new life on the other side of the world, his obsession with racing sets him on a collision course with the Japanese underworld. To survive, he will have to master drifting – a new style of racing where tricked-out cars slide through hairpin turns, defying gravity and death for the ultimate road rush. With more mind-blowing stunts and heart-pounding racing sequences than ever, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift puts you in the driver's seat

  • Im sure ive seen this before....

Acting = Shocking Plot = Adequate if you are able to suspend your disbeleif, and rather predictable if you have seen any of the other fast and furious movies. Cars = Wonderful, you wouldnt expect anything less The problem with this film is that it has a lot to live up to. With its predecessors being such epic films (particularly the first ones), a third film without ANY of the original cast is a tall order. That said, its no excuse for some of the worst acting that ive seen in a while!

  • This is great if you like fast cars, racing, and Girls!

It is a great movie and goes well with the other 3 films in the Fast and the Furious Saga. It is different to the others with it being the only one that isn't in America but this doesn't meen its a bad movie, Its one of the best movies ever made for people who like fast cars, sexy girls, and a lot of seriously cool driving! This is A good buy!
