    A great chemistry textbook but there are issues with the loose-leaf budget format

    As far as introductory chemistry textbooks are concerned, this textbook is good. It has clearly delineated chapters with plenty of examples, although the naming/numbering system for the problems is not standard (e.g. Topics 2B, Topic 3C, etc.) with examples designated as 2B6, 8A3, etc. But at least the material is understandable. The only real issue is that in the loose-leaf format, the pages are very fragile, especially around the holes that are punched in the paper. The paper is also very thin, which is probably a necessity because the textbook is nearly a thousand pages in length.
