    This is a toy. Not a display model. I suspected a problem when I opened the kit and found the hull had a battery compartment. And a place for an ON/OFF switch. It reminds me of the old Tamiya kits that were originally designed as motorized toys and later reboxed as display models. Another problem surfaced when I noticed, beyond the large hull and turret parts, there were only three sprues of parts. Andy's Hobby HQ's model has 23 sprues. There is an amazing lack of detail for a kit of this scale. For instance, the cupola vision blocks were just open holes, with no detail at all. The suspension, was inaccurate, with all the road wheels being the same. And the suspension uses a spring system that was invented by a certified sadist. Nearly impossible to assemble.     A great addition to any collection with or with out extra detaling !!

    The kit is very well thought out and the fact that it was meant to be an RC tank the suspension was engineered to be heavy duty and functionable . I was impressed with the packaging and molding of the parts. The original price is around one hundred dollars and you get a lot of model for that money but it is also OOP now and some have it at double the price . Some parts needed attention to be more realistic for the builder in me and others were replaced or scratch built . One BIG thing left out of the kit was an antenna base. Others were a spare antenna tube a engine crank handle mounted near the antenna base . I added realistic looking zimmerit and some PE and scrapped the kits barrel cleaning rods for scratch built ones . I also did some major modifying to make four working hatches . ...

    Great value for price!

    It's not 100% accurate, but it does provide a fairly close representation of the full scale tank. This was originally designed as an remote controlled tank, so some liberties were taken to fit in the electrical components. This kit is now provided as a static display model without the added electronic R/C components. It's large and provides good fit and a great value for the price. The suspension and tracks are fully operational when complete. I've included a couple of work in progress photos below:
