Good at its main job
Had this item about a fortnight so too early to judge reliability. My previous dehumidifier was a Ecoair desiccant type and packed up after a not very long life. This machine is a compressor type. Works very well and feels reassuringly solid, but it’s quite noisy. Got used to it and doesn’t bother me and can’t hear it in another room. Float catches a little when sump withdrawn. Very effective.
Our house is Grade 2 listed, so we can't have double glazing. As a result we get a lot of condensation on the windows in the winter. This dehumidifier does a really good job keeping the condensation at bay and is quiet as well.
