Shock Abs arrived exactly on schedule, good communication from point of order. The important part - the spec of the Drexler units is much better than the original VW/Sachs ones, piston rod Dia. up 11mm to 13mm, Cylinder OD up 33mm to 38mm. Original VW S/Abs are well known for premature failure. (car is a Polo R Line1.2TSI, 40k miles from new) Given Drexler's history in motor sport & that their units are more substantial, at the price this is incredible value for money. Well done shocks-direct!

Having now fitted the shock absorbers, I can comment on their road performance. The ride quality is much better than the original VW units. The reason for changing the originals was the O/Side had developed a light and intermittent knock/rattle, although the performance hadn't changed. With the Drexler units bump absorption over pot holes is noticeably softer, generally on good road surfaces the ride is smoother & quieter. Handling on corners is very good with no wallowing. Excellent product.
