Transgressing the seemingly rock-solid boundaries of regular television programming, THE SHIELD refuses the strictures of black-and-white depictions of clear-cut moral dilemmas in favour of an ambiguity that will challenge even the most jaded viewers. Detective Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis, THE COMMISH) leads the elite Strike Team in the fictional L.A. district of Farmington, employing dubious but effective crime fighting methods as a tough, successful, but corrupt cop. The other detectives and cops on the force disapprove of the team's methods, while the precinct head, Captain David Aceveda (Benito Martinez), is just as corrupt as Mackey. The stoic, upright Detective Claudette Wyms (CCH Pounder, ER), who understands both sides of the game, provides a much needed balance and rationality to the mix. This collection presents all seven seasons of the series.

    Highly addictive viewing from the edge of your seat, not a wasted moment.

    Well where to start? Big screen entertainment from a small screen series, it truely lives up to the byline "one of the best cop shows ever made". It's like a cop version of the godfather, starring a family of cops within the force who deal with the really nasty stuff by being really nasty too. The bosses know it's an effective if not necessarily legal solution to policing a district that would spiral out of control. The team of cops know they get the worst villains to deal with but compensate themselves handsomely with protection money and a slice of seizures. Trust is the real strength of the team but also it's downfall over time when outsiders start to doubt the team's actions and investigate them.
