    Basil Hears a Noise

    Still one of my son's most beloved favorites after all of these years. Basil, Dodie, Louie, and Elmo are on a camp out when Basil hears a noise. Unable to sleep Dodie tells him a story of a shepherd bear and some towns folk. They were all fearful of an uncommon mysterious stranger that was sneaking in while everyone slept to do mean things in order to get them to move. Reluctantly, the shepherd bear (Basil) accepts the daunting task of solving the riddle of who this stranger is; with aid of Sir Louie, the bravest knight, he sets off. On his way Basil runs into several different scary creatures, but he is relentless in his pursuit of the truth. He discovers that the mysterious mean stranger is a fairy princess has disguised herself as a witch to scare off the towns folk because she is ...
