A fairly typical farce, with some great British character actors getting overheated about a mix-up with some continental porn being delivered to the wrong address in straight-laced 1970s Windsor. Highlights include Valerie Leon and Margaret Nolan as Amazonian working girls, a blustering Arthur Lowe, a panic striken Ronnie Corbett and funny turn from Michael Bates. Enjoyable enough, but lacking the sparkle of other British sauce of the time.

A FEW YEARS AGO WHILE IN LONDON VISITING AN OLD AUNT, I DECIDED TO GO AND SEE THE STAGE PLAY OF "NO SEX PLEASE WE'RE BRITISH"--IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT--SO WHEN I SAW IT OUT ON DVD I JUST HAD TO BUY IT--I HAVE SEEN IT ON A DVD WHICH WAS LOANED AND IT WAS JUST AS GOOD AS THE STAGE VERSION. WELL WORTH GETTING HOLD OF.
I could not attend the theatre No Sex Please, We're British which was a British comedic play written by Alistair Foot and Anthony Marriott and first staged in London's West End in 1971.So this was a great chance to watch and enjoy this classic comedy for me.
I decided to buy this because my husband and I are big fans of 1970's slapstick and saucy humour. We have collected most of the 70's sitcoms (On the Buses, George & Mildred etc) but occasionally we fancy a film. We had both heard of this film but had never seen it so when I saw the review of the film on an eBay auction and saw all the names we knew from the 70's era starring in it, I had to have it. We watched it on a cold sunday evening when the tv was dull and laughed all the way through it. It was great and right up our street. Loved it.

If you grew up with, and liked Dad's Army, Benny Hill, and the Two Ronnies, you'll like this movie. Full of innuendos and mishaps. Acting and story line is far above the modern equivalent, Inbetweener's, etc.
