    Beautiful Bach interpretations

    Outstandingly beautiful play. Bought this after watching him on the Proms (which was actually better than CD. The notes explain that Bach is written in a very precise way, but with relatively few instructions on how to play, making it ideal for interpretation.

    It will not play on my HiFi CD player or DVD player, only the computer. A copy will.

    It got highly recommended on record review and other sources. I agree.This is the fourth copy of this CD I have purchased, from different suppliers. Finally decided to keep it even though it won't play, just for the sleeve notes. None of them load in my Arcam CD player, nor in my DVD player. I have 1800 CDs and have never had this problem. It will load the tracks in the computer. Eventually I copied the CD tracks and burned an image of the disc on a new one, and that plays in everything. At last I can listen to it on the hi-fi . The performance of the tracks I've heard is extraordinarily thoughtful and beautifully executed.

    Music to live with

    Heard a track from this on BBC radio 3 while escaping from dire news bulletins and just had to have it. Vikingur Olafsson is such an exciting musician - such a sensitive interpreter of Bach's music and gives it a pure stripped back quality. I love it
