Poor representation
As a solid and devoted Paul Temple fan I am very disappointed with this TV series. I feel that the script writing is extremely poor and bears NO resemblance to the characters established through the radio. Francis Mathews is an excellent actor who has not been able to portray the character very well. This has been in my opinion another "radio to tv" failure.

The dvd series does not match up to what one would expect from the radio series of years ago and that are even today broadcast on radio. The dvd shows very poor script writing and the acting is little better. The physical second hand product is in very good condition. The entertainment value is low and wouldn't bear a second viewing. At £8 new for just under 10 hours viewing, the product is not underpriced.
