    Its okay but.....

    I used to have devolo home plugs that were old and slow but whatever you threw at them they worked flawlessly. The TP link plugs I have are three different versions all the same speed but one wifi extender and four standard plus these two I'm reviewing. The benefit of them is the pass through as you don't lose a socket ( I cant wait until they start building them in to the sockets themselves as standard) but they are bulky and remind me of old fashioned double plug adapters. They are super fast and I can stream movies and music even away from the house via 3/4g. The problem I have and its not this model, but all the TP link products, as they are fussy about what they supply. For example, I run an old thin client with a high end asus essence audio card in my lounge and that plays my network ...

    Cat5 internet without losing a socket

    These set up an internal wired network using the electric wiring within your own home. The fact that they are passthrough means that you don't lose the socket to take advantage of a wired internet connection. They are also very good value for money as they are a lot cheaper than the ones I originally bought to connect the hub to the blu-ray player, and only one of those was passthrough.

    easy and cheap fix

    Bought second hand, but fully functional, literally "plug and play". Handles all our internet demands easily, without the loss of 2 plug sockets because of the "pass through" facility. It's definitely better if you put the units directly into the wall sockets and then connect other devices into the pass through facility.

    Simple, perfect for the job

    Plug them in, connect an ethernet to each, connect 1 unit to the main router and the other to your device click pair on each unit and thats all there is to it.... simple. My smart tv is now smarter than I am, sheesh!
