It's a great camera, and can be used with a mount lenses (using an adaptor). This places some restrictions upon settings and use, but means that set up to start using the camera can be relatively smooth. However, for anyone who has the a-mount Sony a99ii DSLR (mirrored), I'd say that camera is a touch better (though perhaps I will notice a difference when I start using e-mount lenses on the a7riii), but is noticeably heavier (even when compared to the A7rii with an adaptor attached). They are both complex cameras, designed to be used by a variety of different photographic specialities, but the basics are easier to set up and one can go from there.
