    One of the best books on the Sturmgewehr MP44, waited years for the price to come down just to read it.

    For a long time I wanted to buy this book as the reviews were all very positive. But for some reason (perhaps it was out of print until recently, is all i can guess) you could not find the book for less then $80-100, until now. $30 is a reasonable price for this book. It has many photographs not seen anywhere else, showing design prototypes, wartime propaganda photos, design modifications, and a lot of interesting info about the weapon I have not seen anywhere else. While among the best books about the Sturmgewehr, the penultimate book on it has yet to be written as like all the others, this one is too short and just does not include enough details. Such as combat experience with the rifle, weak points, manufacturing details or any of the other things about the rifle you'd want to ...

    Good book about an awesome weapon.

    If you are looking for a technical book on this weapon, look elsewhere. However this book is a wonderful start and a 'must have' for those wanting or starting on the road to a deeper appreciation of trend setting weaponry. The array of rarely seen photos and variations of the weapon are worth the purchase.
