About this product

Product Information

The second, and arguably hardest-to-find, title in the Namco Museum series for the PS1, this volume packs in arcade favorites like Mappy, Xevious and Super Pac-Man, along with lesser-known sequels Gaplus (a lightning-fast Galaga sequel, better known to U.S. gamers as Galaga 3) and Grobda (a ground-based follow-up to Xevious) and the quest-style Dragon Buster. The menu, option selection and control structure is very much the same as Namco Museum Volume 1, making it a bit difficult to navigate (something later refined in Namco Museum Volume 3). Though the first and third Namco Museum PlayStation titles were reprinted as part of the "greatest hits" collection, Namco Museum Volume 2 somehow escaped that kind of sales success, and is now sought after by collectors. The original arcade version of Xevious is also included on Xevious 3-D/G+, but most of these other games haven't been seen in more recent Namco Museums for other consoles.

Fast response, initial shipping (2 business days). 7 day delivery reasonable at distance shipped. Purchased the complete 1981 Galaxy Express 999 series (3 sets on bluray) in 1 go. Everything arrived as described: Brand New. Securely packed. My constructive criticism: combined shipping option not available. Shipping was $5/set, $15/total. I think seller could've shipped this, still in lots of bubble wrap but with less packing paper, in a smaller, tighter box at $15 ($10?). Still a great seller.

  • Completed the collection for me, Xevious and all.

Perfectly delivered. Though to be fair (and this is not about the person I ordered it from, since he/she did a good job making the delivery possible), But this is actually my least favorite of the NM PS1 games. In my opinion, Dragon Buster and Xevious aren't all that fun for me. However, I will say that Super Pacman, Gaplus, Mappy, and even Grobda are worth keep, even though at least half of those managed to be in other Namco Museum games (the PSP one, which I have). One thing is for sure, This game managed to complete my PS1 Namco Museum collection (Aside form the Japan only Encore, which I doubt I'll get because I'll have to spend extra cash on modding my PS2, which might not be worth the effort simply because Encore's museum is, appearantly, just space with a bunch of arcades in it and ...

  • Namco Museum Vol. 2

When I used to have this game, and I plan on buying another, it was worth the $30 I payed for it. It has some of Namco's more obscure titles in it. If you have another volume in the series, I recommend this one and all the rest. The only con I can think of is very slow loading times, which isn't present on any of the other volumes.

  • Rare Games, Still Lots of Fun to Play

Super Pacman is a hard game to find on any system. I still have the Atari 5200 and the graphics are not even close to the original. Namco did a wondeful job with the conversion, I would like to see them come out with Jr Pacman one day.

  • namco museum vol. 2

it does have super pac-man and it's just like arcade and it's real good and just namco museum on playstation 2 don't have super pac-man but namco museum vol. 2 on playstation 1 does and it will play on playstation 2.

  • Namco mueseum vol. 2

Well, i was a teenager of the 80's who enjoyed all of the games from the pac-man series. besides ms. pac-man this disc containS super pac-man so when the sony playstation arrived i decided to collect all of my favories and this disc completes the set!
