I bought the FDD to check on the contents of a number of floppy discs and to delete them before disposal. The FDD worked fine, once I had removed a thin piece of plastic, which I think was supposed to be a gate, but which had broken away and made the insertion of a floppy difficult. My laptop, which is running Windows 10, did not automatically recognise the FDD but did once "A:\" was typed in the search bar. After that , I was able to achieve what I wanted to do.
