  • A great router

2Wire routers have good build quality but poor power units which seem to fail long before the router. A BT branded box will only work with a BT internet service unless you look on the internet for a workaround. Things to look out for include BT remotely "upgrading" the firmware and the ability to vary the wifi power, potentially well above the UK legal limit. Using alternate formware (look for QWEST), I have found these to be functional and reliable.

  • This 2wire product definetly leaves other brands in its shadow!

I bought this router in the hope that it would solve my adsl2+ speed issue seeing as i am about 4km from my exchange and i have high attenuation. surprisingly it didn't really "improve" the speed but the stability became amazing and i had higher speeds for much longer times of the day! The one bump i hit with this router is that it is locked to a provider, which wasn't stated, but there are workarounds to make it run on other providers.

  • fine performer if you can hack it.

great value unit but firmware hack required, adjustable performance parameters make it very usable to tweak dsl line.

  • Excellent

I bought this product because I am a really technical person. I bought it because I needed a wireless booster in my house. much to my surprise it was compatible and I now have it as a booster so the wireless signal reaches round a wider area of my house.

  • reliable

I have an older model and it has never given any trouble, when I saw it I bought it for a standby setup was straightforward
