About this product

Product Information

When a single mom and aspiring actress ends up on an important jury, she must team up with an FBI agent to hunt down a vicious and powerful mob boss. Andie DeGrasse is not your typical juror. Hoping to get dismissed from the pool, she tells the judge that most of her legal knowledge comes from a bit part curling around a stripper's pole in The Sopranos . But she still ends up as juror #11 in a landmark trial against a notorious mob boss. The case quickly becomes the new Trial of the Century. Mafia don Dominic Cavello, known as the Electrician, is linked to hundreds of gruesome, unspeakable crimes. Senior FBI agent Nick Pellisante has been tracking him for years. He knows Cavello's power reaches far beyond the courtroom, but the FBI's evidence against the ruthless killer is iron-clad. Conviction is a sure thing. As the jury is about to reach a verdict, the Electrician makes one devastating move that no one could have predicted. The entire nation is reeling, and Andie's world is shattered. For her, the hunt for the Electrician becomes personal, and she and Pellisante come together in an unbreakable bond: they will exact justice . . . at any cost. James Patterson spins an all-out heart-pounding legal thriller that pits two people against the most vicious and powerful mobster since John Gotti. Judge & Jury is a stunning feat by "one of America's most influential authors" ( New York Times ).

  • JUDGE & JURY by James Patterson

You cannot go wrong reading a James Patterson novel. I think I have read almost every one of his novels to date. JUDGE & JURY is his latest novel, and it is excellent. Patterson has a way of capturing the reader in the very first page! Then, it is truly a page turner. In this novel, the two main characters are Nick, an FBI special agent in charge of organized crime and Andie, a woman juror. The novel begins with Nick capturing a notorious crime boss and quickly moves to the trial. Then, things start to get really interesting. Packed with several twists and turns and lots of excitement, Patterson takes the reader on a nail biting journey searching for the bad guys. Nick and Andie make a wonderful team, and I found myself cheering them on. They do run into many obstacles, but the ...

  • Judge and Jury by James Patterson

If you like crime novels with a little action and romance thrown in, this book is for you. The initial courtroom scenes are dominated by the menacing personality of "The Electrician," a truly evil mobster who is on trial for murder. One of the witnesses at this trial is a young FBI agent who has dedicated his life to putting the killer away for good. Before that can be accomplished, the prisoner escapes by wreaking havoc with the help of a few henchmen. The FBI agent then joins forces with a pretty female member of the jury. Together, they travel to the ends of the earth in a desperate gamble to take down the elusive killer once and for all. This book is a real page turner. The chapters are short, and the plot is fast paced, so you can read a lot at one sitting. Characters are developed ...

  • Judge & Jury by Andrew Gross, James Patterson

I like Patterson's novels because they are suspenseful, imaginative, and written in an easy style, with short chapters and clear writing. The author doesn't overwhelm the reader with unnecessary details. This particular novel grabbed me because I like crime novels that involve courtroom scenes and twists and turns in the plot that keep me guessing. Another thing I like about Patterson's writing is that he develops his characters just enough that they are believable and I find myself caring what happens to them, at least the "good guys" who are victims of or fighting criminals. In Judge and Jury, Patterson introduces the reader to an FBI agent, a juror who is mother of a boy, a wicked mobster who will stop at nothing to frustrate the judicial system, and two hitmen. There's plenty of ...

  • Judge & Jury

I bought this book for a book club read. I do not normally read James Patterson, or mystery novels in general. I really enjoyed this book. I like his style of writing with short chapters. Having a 1 year old at home, I never know when I am going to get pulled away from a book, but this book was easy to keep your place. I normally would not be interested in reading about the mafia, but this made you feel for the jurrors and grabbed me right from the start. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen to the main characters and the bad guys. I hope you enjoy your read!

  • Judge And Jury-James Patterson

Having been a James Patterson fan from the beginning I just had to get this one. I finished it in 2 days! Supper burned,I kept reading. Althought this is not the Alex Cross series nor the Girls Murder Club I found myself pulled into it from the very fist page. It's style reminded me of Sidney Sheldon's suspense. Fast paced from beginning toe dn. A definite page turner and a great book to give for the reader on your list. A MUST read filled with conflict and suspense with a lawyer theme, a little different for his style but I think it rivals that of Grisham with a plot and story that is easy to follow.
