    well made cogs

Seem to be made of durable materials and nice finish on this cogset. I only use SRAM chains on the SRAM cogs (via Shimano HG shifting) so I cannot say how these work with Shimano HG chains, but the all SRAM approach works for me. This 12 x 26 for me is a much more cost effective 2x9sp alternative than trying to find new Shimano 12 x 27 HG cogs in 9sp that run about twice the cost of these SRAMs. I lose a tooth for the biggest cog, but not an issue for my riding.

  • Perfect for me

Before this I had the SRAM PG 950 in an 11-28 gearing. I could not make the chain work on the 11t without it skipping on the 28t, and vice versa. So I ended up with a 12-28 eight speed which was not what I wanted. I finally found this 12-26 and it is perfect. It shifts great in ALL nine gears and the ratios are so close I sometimes don't even feel the shifts. I bought a 26t granny gear to replace the 30t and now I have all the gears I need, plus a close ratio for flat land riding.

  • SRAM Good Cassettes

Good stuff. Works fine. I bounce back and forth between SRAM and Shimano depending on what is available and cost. I don't see a difference in performance. Now that Shimano is playing hard to get, I'll spend my money on SRAM cassettes. They have what I need and play fine. Also picked up a chain to go with the new cassette to keep the drivetrain smooth.

  • Works reliably

I had problems with the chain skipping teeth. Installing this new cassette fixed the problem. Shifts smooth.
