Alice returns to a transformed Wonderland in this fright-filled follow-up to 2000's American McGee's Alice. Troubled by the memories of her past, young Alice drifts off to the dream realm of Wonderland, only to find it corrupted by an insidious evil. To save Wonderland and perhaps her sanity, Alice must directly confront horrific enemies attempting to kill her. The action is viewed from a third-person perspective as players engage in melee combat using weapons that range from a vorpal blade and hobby horse to a teapot cannon.<br><br>Interact with creepy characters such as the Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Caterpillar, and the Red Queen while advancing across the surreal, nightmarish world of Wonderland. Leap across platforms while avoiding various hazards and solve puzzles using items found in the environment, including chess pieces, picture blocks, and transforming objects. Game will not verify online to play
I was looking for this old version that would play on Windows XP like it did in the old days. When It installs it looks online to verify the installation date. It seems that site is no longer there as it will always come up FAILED. Even on a fast XP the graphics are super slow and the curor will onlly creep making that game unplayable. I tried several patchs and changing Windows Clock time and date but that didnt work. I have this game installed from EA games via ORIIGIN which plays perfectly. on Windows 7. The game is fun to play when downloaded from ORIGIN but this CD version will not install. Nothing against the vendors who sell this game.I was looking for this old version that would play on Windows XP like it did in the old days. An incredible game which doesn't get enough love from reviewers
This is a severely underrated game. It is yet another brilliant and twisted take on the classic tale of Wonderland, following in the footsteps of the original Alice. The artwork and presentation in this game are top notch, while the gameplay itself is very engaging. There are a few caveats which make it less than perfect, for example mouse smoothing is initially enabled which makes the game nearly impossible to use without a controller unless the option is turned off by editing a config file. Also the advanced physics-based particle effects are not available in this game (at playable frame rates at least) unless you have an Nvidia card since the game uses PhysX. Overall, this game is well worth playing for anyone interested in the game's concept and some badass 3rd person shooting and ... This is a severely underrated game. Great game, Lots of fun
I personally like the Alice games. Having controller support is great. It was a little hard to get started. I had to update Direct X several times to get the sound to work, also had to make changes to several config files to bring the frame rate up. But once you get this game going... it's great, good story line and lots of upgrades for weapons...

A very fun underrated game and a real piece of eye candy on PC
Was a fan of the first Alice and I must say this a great improvement from the first, many hours of gameplay with a great battle system, puzzles to solve, and vivid levels to explore. Voice overs of Alice's memories that you recover along with how story line plays of the first Alice help to immerse you in the game. Didn't much like having to have internet connection to activate game, but was quick and didn't take any personal information (other than what it mined from my machine i'm sure) some mild bugs nothing serious mainly graphical corruption on some things, but other than that no real complaints.
