Fantastic Four:The Rise Of The Silver Surfer - 1 Disc
An entertaining sequel that does not take itself too seriously, gives a nice introduction to the cult hero the Silver Surfer. Hopefully paving the way for a ‘spin off’ film Special effects were good, especially the Silver Surfer scenes Plot summary: While Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) and Sue Storm (Jessica Alba) prepare for their wedding. An alien being (Silver Surfer) prepares the Earth, so his master (Galactus) can feed on the life energy of the planet. Eventually it is realized that the Earth is under attack, the government force the Fantastic Four to work with their arch enemy Doctor Doom (Julian McMahon) to find a solution. Some extras on the DVD, if you want more get the two disc versionAn entertaining sequel that does not take itself too seriously, gives a nice introduction to the cult hero the Silver Surfer. With Von Doom back in his homeland of Latveria the fantastic four have new troubles when Galactus has decided that Earth is his next target. When his henchman, The Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd), is sent to Earth he discovers that he's getting more than he bargained for when he encounters the Fantastic Four. But that's not all when Dr. Doom decides that after two years in the homeland he is ready to return.With Von Doom back in his homeland of Latveria the fantastic four have new troubles when Galactus has decided that Earth is his next target. When his henchman, The Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd), is sent to Earth he discovers that he's getting more than he bargained for when he encounters the Fantastic Four. But that's not all when Dr. Doom decides that after two years in the homeland he is ready to return.

With some amazing effects this is a fun film and a good second outing from the Fantastic 4 Family. Although, I did notice some plot holes about what happens to Dr Doom. Make no mistake, this is a good film but the Silver Surfer steals the show. A good way to introduce him before his turn as the star of his own movie in 2009. If you can, get the 2 disc version for an inside look at the Comic Book Origins of the Silver Surfer.With some amazing effects this is a fun film and a good second outing from the Fantastic 4 Family.
