Purchase was painless and arrived when it said it would. Good communication from vendor. However, either the item was damaged in transit or the original description was inaccurate- it was described as having a weak spring but on receipt the spring was not connected to the flap i.e. its broken. However, not reported to the vendor as these are hard to find and we are happy to use without the spring.

sorry you weren't happy with the letter flap you are correct listing didn't mention the spring was broken (it wasn't ) also you pointed out it stated it was weak (which it didn't) ,if you check listing stated worn (which it was at over 100 year old spring) but it also stated it still closed under its own weight which it does so the fault seems not with the description but maybe was not read correctly .
