About this product

Product Information

Although players may have toured the world many times over in the console editions of Rock Band, the series can finally take its act on the road with Rock Band: Unplugged, the first for a portable system. The game is played with the normal PSP buttons instead of frets on a guitar-shaped controller, not unlike the play in developer Harmonix's Guitar Hero pre-cursors for PS2, Frequency and Amplitude. As icons scroll outward down the screen, players tap buttons in time with the music, in order to perform the part of the instrument they are playing. Players can switch between available instruments -- lead, bass, drums, and vocals -- by shifting to the left or right. The game's song list includes more than 40 master recordings, including 9 tracks that launch as system exclusives for a limited time before being made available to other system editions of Rock Band.

The game is in very good condition and it is brand new as the listing said. It’s sealed and was packaged very well. This is a great seller if you want very good deals on games or movies. The biggest thing that makes me like this seller above others is the free shipping. Thank you very much, R and D Games. Will be buying from you again in the future.

  • Rock Band Unplugged - PSP (Review)

As a big fan of the rhythm/music genre of games, I was excited to find out that Harmonix had collaborated with a smaller developer to condense its Rock Band franchise into a form very similar to another game they developed, Frequency. The music and track assignment is spot-on, and its good to see some tracks made it in here that were never a part of the original console line-ups. The portability of the PSP format also makes for a great experience with a set of quality headphones in and you just want to get into the game for a short while. You can hear the areas of the track where the instruments shine individually and it's a real treat. While it may not appeal to anyone who isn't used to the more complex entries into the rhythm/music genre (despite its connection to the mainstream monster ...

  • Best game for PSP!!!! So addicting & challenging!

My son has a PSP with a lot of games that he doesn't really play, and that I would not play. When I saw this on sale for around $7, I grabbed it. We were so excited for it to arrive at our door & began playing it immediately. I've created our own band with all the members of our family, which is awesome. We tour and do shows, unlock new cities, songs and gear for the band, all while playing all FOUR ROLES IN THE BAND. It's hard at first, but you can set the controls how you want them and get used to it in no time. It's by far the GREATEST game I have played on PSP. You can even download your favorite songs from the Playstation store. I love everything about Rock Band Unplugged!!!!

  • If you like Rock Band, you'll love this!

Let me start off by saying that this is an excellent port of a game to a handheld system. The gameplay is fast paced and somewhat difficult at first, but once you play it for awhile you will fall in love with it. To me, the song selection could have been a bit wider, but I'm sure you can only fit so many songs onto one UMD disc. The plus side of this is that if you have access to a wi-fi connection, you can go into the Playstation Store and download new songs to your memory card to import to the game (That is if the $1.99 a song isn't too steep for you). It plays alot like it's big brother counterparts on a lot of differrent levels, but adds its own small twists to keep it original at the same time. In this version, you play all of the tracks at the same time (Bass, Drums, Vocals, and ...

  • its good

I like rock band on the psp because now i can play rock band on the go. it is interesting how you play all the instruments instead of just one, it keeps the game interesting. the things that disappoint me is the lack of a track list, normally rock band has a lot of songs, this has around 40. another thing that disappoints me is that there is no online interaction with this game. i would love to play online with other players. the only thing that is online with rock band is the music store, which has a few songs to download at $1.99 each. otherwise, the gameplay reminds me of rock band on the normal consoles.
