Music good, voice bumpy
Punchy, clean sound on music, surprising power and depth for the tiny size, and you get proper A-B amplifers inside, not harsh pulse-driven things. Good value at around 60 quid UK for one - we bought ours for the TV. But on voices my BX5 D2 falls down, as do many others in this price range. You hear a prominent resonance on male voice, and a quacking peak an octave higher on female. Reviewers generally say it is good on vocal, so maybe I am too picky - but I still obtain more realistic speech from a very old Celestion bookshelf.Punchy, clean sound on music, surprising power and depth for the tiny size, and you get proper A-B amplifers inside, not harsh pulse-driven things.
