My only criticism is that the charging lead in the picture suggests a newer device. I clicked without checking and subsequently received older devices than anticipated. My own fault though. The products came beautifully packaged and looking brand new with almost a full charge in each. Paperwork included and everything very professionally presented. The Gen 2 is a bit slower than the newer models when downloading but my kids are delighted and they are perfect for them. The cases are good but I may ditch them in favour of something more child appropriate to protect the iPads. The ones provided are great for adults but for younger kids, a more robust, rubber affair may be a safer bet. On the whole, we are very happy and my only small niggle is the picture of the more recent lightning charger on the sales picture. Everything else is even better than expected and this is not intended to be a negative review, more a pedantic observation and constructive criticism on my part. Read full review

The item performance is very slow and hardly can do any work on the apps. My little boy has to wait atleast for a minute for the apps to load. Once the apps load it hangs very often. Not reallty recommended as the toddler games require a lot more memory. Also there is a small line like a dent on top left hand corner of the display so i belive the display was damaged either in transit or at the warehouse I would returning the item.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase. It works well as a portable device for viewing things on the web. If you browse on the internet a lot, you'll get a lot of use from it even if you have a laptop. Great for reading papers from the web for example. It switches on instantly. I have a very cheap cover (£8 ish) and as soon as i open it, the ipad comes to live. No waiting for it to boot. I also upload/download documents on it such as reports and texts (pdfs etc) on it which I use for work purposes. Everything is accessible. Very portable and easy to carry around. I have the wifi version but i get decent ish access on the move by 'tethering' my mobile phone via bluetooth (I have a package with 3 and i pay about £4.50 a month for a bolt on which gives me 3gb for doing this). Not always reliable for watching tv via tethering from my phone though but that's no surprise I guess. I got a refurbished version for about £285.00. Not fantastic value I don't think but decent. I've rated value for money average because I see so many low priced tablets around. I guess they aren't apple ones. Unfortunately, after making the horrendous error of opting for a Samsung Omnia rather than a iphone 3 in 2008, I'm too afraid to do anything non apple anymore so I was caught over a barrel pretty much in having to get this one. Still, I went for a lowish spec as I like the thought of carrying it around in my bag etc rather than keeping it at home afraid of anything happening which i prob would do if I paid £300+.Read full review
I have long wanted a tablet and having read the Which reports I concluded that the Ipad looked the best buy but I thought the cost just too high. The Ebay offer I found was very good value (£280)so I decided to give it a try. As a long term PC user it takes a bit of getting used to, but it seemed pretty easy to set up and I have been collecting apps. There are a lot of free games available and because the tablet is easily held, I have been having fun with those. Email seems to work OK with one big drawback - I do a lot of surveys - most of which require Flash which is not supported. This is by far the biggest problem I have found and the reason I will not award 5*. I have not tried any serious business applications - spreadsheets for example as I feel that these are more suited to my PC. I have been having fun with the camera which is very easy to use - due to the large picture showing on screen. I still have a lot to learn to get the most from my new toy, but on the whole - with the exception of the missing Flash support, I am very pleased with my purchase.Read full review
I bought this iPad for many reasons, such as my laptop had recently broke, I am planning to go travelling next year and thought something like an iPad would be great for when im there, and my dad hogs our family pc. So far I have not stopped using it, as my phone is not a great product for Internet, battery life etc, but this iPad is fantastic. I can use it all week and still have battery left over, I can download any games and apps I want, and I can FaceTime friends and family which makes a nice change to normal phone calls. Also the product is so easy to use that my mum (who is hopeless with all technology) has recently bought an iPad also, as she loves them too. The best thing I like about them is the fact they are so light and small that I can take it anywhere with me, I can watch stuff when I'm at the gym, I can search the Internet whilst watching tv and I can take decent quality photos. Overall it was an unexpected expense when buying this iPad, but one I do not regret as nothing about it has failed me yet. Just what I wanted!Read full review
