    Quiet and well made disk drive

    Arrives well packaged and feels very solid in the hand. No problem in either slotting into a NAS bay or using a SATA cable. The drive is very quiet in use and I have had no reported errors, athough it is early days, the drive only being in use for a couple of weeks.

    Hush hush!

    It's hard to rate a product for reliability or speed when properties of the NAS may also be contributory (obviously so far so good) but when compared to an earlier NAS, these HDDs in a QNAP 718+ are amazingly quiet. So far I couldn't be more pleased.

    All good so far....

    Arrived as new, installed in WDCLOUD EX2 with another WD 4TB RED. Set up as RAID 1. Working fine, but it’s only been running for 4weeks.
