On his journey, Luke is aided by the roguish, sarcastic mercenary Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and his towering furry sidekick Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) as they run into a host of perilous situations while trying to rescue the princess--and the entire galaxy. Magnificently referencing everything from Akira Kurosawa's SEVEN SAMURAI and THE HIDDEN FORTRESS to THE WIZARD OF OZ to John Ford Westerns and Joseph Campbell philosophies, STAR WARS revolutionized the cinematic world with its epic storytelling and amazing special effects. In addition to film veterans Guinness and Cushing, the movie also features an unforgettable performance from the young Ford, who would, of course, go on to become one of the biggest stars of the silver screen.     Just great

    This is a visually stunning movie, Even today. This movie, released originally in 1977 was so far ahead of it's time that it's scary. George Lucas pionerred and created new filming and speacial effects tecnices that are still relivant and still used today. Without the pioneer efforts of this movie most of todays big box office hits wouldn't be possible. This film is fun and action pact, it spawned two sequals, 3 prequals, several made for tv movies and many many cartoon series. + hundreads of books, toys, lunch boxes, underwear, toothbrushed, dog holloween costumes and any other bizarr thing you can tink of... Star wars is one of the greatest movies ever and george lucas is a god!!!

    A real adventure movie for the WHOLE family!

    I like the three Star Wars movies because if you haven't seen themin a long time, it is nice to go in order! Also, it is a great way to introduce kids of very young ages to STAR WARS, at a time when adventure movies have become so silly and antimated in many cases. Star Wars is a must see!

    Great Movie

    Very good movies. I like the special edition and how in the begin they talk and show the differences between scene in the original and how the new effects and technology today help make these movies even better. The effects are great. and the clarity of the movies are better as well.

    Star Wars has got to be the greatest movie series of all time!!! There is so much excitement and action. All I can say is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
