Shipping was reasonable but packaging probably could have used more padding front to back for the delicate mechanisms but I think we got lucky. Item was exactly as described and almost museum quality though there is slight damage to the front top corners that may have been due to the packaging (padding) being thin which could have been addressed with larger box. The seller shipped immediately with lots of protective packaging, and the device worked perfectly straight out of the box. It is working perfectly for my purposes: quickly scanning through a mountain of old negatives of all types, trying to separate out the wheat from the chaff!
