Having used the hoover the performance was very good and both filters appeared to be doing their jobs. These are very very cost effect option compared with the genuine Dyson parts.

Easily done with a sharp knife, by comparing the cutouts to the old filter. Probably due to variations in filter design. Fitted fine once that was done and the awful screech from the Dyson has now gone.
