Have mercy people and let Hendrix move you.
People, Hell and Angels. Another album of superior sonic quality with Cox and Miles on most tracks laying down a feel not unlike a funked up AXIS BOLD AS LOVE. The jazzy improvisation EASY BLUES has Hendrix (freed by Larry Lee's rhythm guitar) letting loose a flurry of furious vibrato runs. There are alternate takes of HEAR MY TRAIN A COMIN (with a great solo), IZABELLA (Mitchell on drums), BLEEDING HEART (ferocious playing throughout) – which as a guitar student of James Marshall I find riveting. The album ends with the jazzy and moody octaves of VILLANOVA JUNCTION BLUES which surely indicates where Hendrix was heading. The packaging is gorgeous and if you can find the deluxe 'book' version go for that for the superior experience – see what I did there?Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
