      control remote fan without long electrical run

      I am using this to control a 6 inch in-line duct fan at the end of a long duct run. This unit allows me to control the on and off of the fan without a long electrical run and a relay switch. You just plug this into a nearby electrical source and plug the duct fan into this unit. When it senses the Furnace or A/C is on it turns on the fan and increases the airflow to this register. Downside is this unit has a flat surface and I mounted it on 6 inch round ductwork. Some alteration was needed. My installation time was about 90 minutes. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow.

      Sensitive adjustment

      Overall the unit performs well. It is very sensitive to the temperature adjustments. You need to be sure to condition the setting for 24 to 48 hours before it will function properly. I added a timer for evening cycling only and a variable speed control on the fan booster.

      Thermostat that works

      This is a simple devise that does what it says it will. I'm using mine to control a gable fan in my shop that is about 15' off the floor. Easy to adjust and works every time.
