    Favorite x99 motherboards.

    Unless you want to spend over two hundred dollars, this is the best x99 board you will get. The bios and the board components are very impressive. But the real reason this is my favorite board is that it has the best consumer xeon CPU support for x99 and has the most efficient mosfets I have ever seen. I overclocked a xeon by a full gigahert (takes alot more power than a typical i7 series to do this) and my thermal camera showed the mosfet heatsink at only 55C. Most x99 boards would but up near 70C under those conditions. If your wallet doesnt allow you to go for AMD threadripper or newer Intel then I urge you to get this board and a used xeon, it won't let you down anytime soon.
