The remote did not come with any batteries, but I was able to get some AAA batteries for this remote, allowing me to check the remote. I found that it did work with the new batteries, after trying with some out of date / old batteries. Remote looks like the original and works on my television. I would recommend getting replacement remotes when you lose the original, as you may be able to reduce the amount going to refuse.

Called seller and explained the problem and he said he'd send a different one and that if it didn't work to send them both back for a full refund. I called at 2pm on Tuesday and the new remote arrived 10.30 the following day - and it worked as soon as I put the batteries in. Can't recommend this seller enough.
