    Sometimes older is better

    I have owned this exact model for 20 some years and have never had a problem, so when I saw the same one for sale I snatched it up instantly. It is made durable and the blades are molded into the middle spindle so there is absolutely no way for food to get in it. The way that the new ones are made the blades are riveted on and the food can get under and mold. The reviews that I have read about this problem is in all the high dollar food processors and that is a concern that needs to be addressed. The only drawback is that there is no little hole to be able to drizzle through the food shoot.

    Replaced old with the same.

    I replaced our old HB Food Processor with a brand new machine. It is the same machine. We enjoyed the ease of use, durability(20+years) and craftsmanship so much we did not want to change. I admit that buying replacement parts is very expensive but to find one brand new in an unopened box that was cheaper than the parts we needed was really an unexpected find. Sadly, our 20 y/o daughter decided she needed it.

    replacement motor base

    Our vintage food processor's output spindle became rusted and swelled up to a point where it was too swollen to fit into the blades. This survivor motor base had little use/abuse and will extend our current 8 years of fine service. The model numbers were not exact, but they are mechanically similar.
