  • Great for Teaching Kids About Social Justice

I love this book. It makes my five year old ask lots of questions about the world and social justice. She got fired up about the fact that some business sck in the 50's didn't allow Jews or people of color, and she was surprised to hear that it happened in the real world. She suggested that the businesses should allow no bad guys instead.

  • Great conversation starter with your children around real life issues that are still going on.

Since the book has arrived, my daughter wants to read it everyday. What is the most rewarding, is the conversation that comes with reading a heavily emotional book dealing with the realities of American life.
