    A must-have for any fan of the franchise!

    I am a huge fan of Ghost in the Shell, this series is a fine continuation of the story and characters, solving many diverse crimes in the futuristic urban tech-scape of New Port City, Japan (fictional). This first serialized incarnation of the hugely popular Manga franchise centers on the mysterious and fascinating criminal/activist/crusader/super-hacker and J.D. Salinger fan known as "the laughing man." After a sensational series of corporate blackmailings several years prior, he had vanished without a trace, but a new set of crimes bearing his signature are investigated, along with many independent cases. Any fan of the original Ghost in the Shell anime super-classic, or any subsequent films, will surely enjoy this series.
