Does What It Says On The....er...Plastic Bottle!
As with all jobs, really, preparation is key. If you properly brush off and use suitable foam wash thoroughly to clean your soft-top first, this stuff will give a good finish with very effective water repellent properties that last. I apply generously using a 1.5 - 2" paint brush. Avoiding run off can be tricky in parts, but just wipe any off car paint work quickly with damp cloth. Don't stint or apply thinly as it won't work properly - buy a good quantity in the first instance as any 'extra' can be stored ready for next treatment.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Why sell it in small bottles
The product is excellent, I think they should make more of the fact that you wipe the XS off straight away, as it's quite difficult to remove when it's dry. My main beef is that it took two bottles to do the roof of my beetle and it would've been a lot more useful if one bottle possibly a larger bottle had been supplied. I had to wait till the next day to get another and was worried that the finish might be different. Great waterproof product
Never having previously used any kind of waterproof product and just used a cover on my car I thought I would give this a try. After one coat I wasn't sure would be working but next day it rained and seems to be working very very well. I tried to apply second coat and wasn't able to as very waterproof and this product just slid off so I've not bothered with another coat. Misleading
The item itself is of good quality comes in a 500ml pot When you read instructions it says you need a 1000ml to cover a average roof which works out bloody expensive so why not sell 1000 ml bottles to start with. Job done.
My 07 mini hood was looking soaked after a rain shower so time to re-waterproof. One bottle of this JUST stretched to one coat of the soft top, easy to apply, just have a rag ready because it really runs. simple and effective
Bought the 500ml bottle after my 12 year old SAAB convertible roof started to leak following some heavy English winter rain. Product arrived very promptly and was quick and easy to apply by 2 inch brush. Remember to stir or shake the bottle thoroughly. It took less than an hour and used only half the bottle. Dried within about two to three hours, and, although no really heavy downpours yet, it seems to work really well, with light rain forming droplets and running off. I am confident another coat would solve any future problems. It certainly works better than other waterproofing products I've tried.
