    Series is funny, playback is horizontally stretched.

    The series itself is a stitch to watch. The display, not so much. It was recorded in a "full screen" format, but it renders on a wide screen with a horizontal stretch. Yes, I can (and do) override that, but I have to return to "let the source specify the aspect" mode afterward, or my wide screen stuff gets squeezed into the full screen aspect ratio. DVDs have a setting that tells the player how it should be rendered. They didn't use that.

    The fact that Jeeves's name precedes Wooster's is no mistake.

    I watched a few episodes with a friend and liked it so much I had to have the whole series. Stephen fry and Hugh Laurie do a superb job of recreating Jeeves and Wooster. There are so many subtleties to these stories that I can see myself watching them over and over.

    So wonderful I had to own it

    The best portrayal of both Jeeves and Wooster - Fry and Laurie really captured Wodehouse's humor. I decided I had to own my own copies, not have to search for whichever service "has" it streaming now. Very, very happy!!!
