    The thin man series is a remarkable set of comedy movies that tell the adventures of a private Eye in the Art Deco 30's and his relationship with his wife who shares his off the wall sense of humour and tolerates his love of alcohol. It is funny and classy and is without doubt an example of a period when violence was not required on film and a night at the movies sent you home with a smile on your face.
