    Very reliable

    Have used this type of smoke alarm throughout. They have lasted for years however one had to be replaced as my SWMBO was a bit heavy handed and broke fixing clips. Could have been that it had been in use for so long the plastic may have become brittle. This was a straight forward replacement

    this has replaced the same detector which has gone wrong after 7 years,keeps beeping even with new battery,so pretty good! very easy to install and to change battery which is a 9volt!

    Bought this item to replace a very popular (over priced) brand of smoke alarm that is supposed to last 10 yrs (but lasts only 2 1/2 - 3 yrs). The only reason why i kept buying the same brand of smoke alarm was out of sheer laziness of not having to change to a different bracket; but this time i was determined having been failed persistently to change brands. I am glad that i purchased this smoke alarm, the construction of this alarm feels sturdy and the kind of quality that you expect of such products. It came well packaged and included all the bits n bobs (battery included) to fix the bracket to the ceiling. I cannot comment on the expectation of 'battery life' as i have only owned the product for 2 weeks, however if it turns out to be at least reasonable i can assure you that i will ...
